Hello Wainfleet Residents,

There is lots of stuff happening in Wainfleet this summer!!  First I'd like to invite everyone out to the Fleeter Fest July 24th from 5pm-1am which will feature 2 live local bands, silent auction, games and prizes advance tickets $5. Second is the public meeting for the Draft Official Plan which is to take place on August 5th at the Town Hall.  Third is the Ratepayer's Annual General Meeting to be held on August 21st at Brethren in Christ Church from 10am-12pm.  Lastly on August 24th is the council meeting where our council will adopt the draft Offical Plan which makes this document our completed Offical Plan.

The Ratepayers are working hard at collecting and recording petition signatures and the Ratepayers were a delegation during the May 25th council meeting last night and presented 796 signed petitions, all of which are from the Lakeshore area!! 

Please be aware that we are not finished collecting signatures as seasonal residents are just beginning to arrive and we are getting a steady stream daily.  We will present the rest of the signatures by the end of summer.

I would like to thank all the volunteers who have taken the time to ask for signatures...Your efforts have not gone un-noticed and it is greatly appreciated!

I will do my best to keep the petition count updated.
